Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park
Depart Nairobi at 8:30 am and drive through the scenic central highlands to Aberdare National Park. Arrive at Aberdare Country Club for lunch before transferring to the Ark Lodge. Spend your afternoon watching elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife from the lodge’s elevated balconies overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the Ark.
Day 2: Aberdare – Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and heading north to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge or camp. Later, embark on an afternoon game drive to discover Samburu’s rare wildlife, including the ‘Samburu Special Five’: Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and the long-necked gerenuk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, head out on a morning game drive in Samburu. Explore the rugged terrain and Ewaso Nyiro River while observing elephants, big cats, and the unique flora and fauna of northern Kenya. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. An optional afternoon game drive follows, ending the day with breathtaking sunset views. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast and check-out, enjoy a final game drive in Samburu as you exit the reserve. Continue to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving in time for lunch and check-in. Day 5: Ol Pejeta – Nairobi
