The 2025 edition featured a diverse array of designers who embodied the principles of sustainability and innovation. Highlights included:- LaOculta: A brand inspired by the deep-rooted connections between Colombia and Africa. - Maisha by Nisria: A non-profit Fashion brand transforming discarded textiles into upcycled masterpieces. Maisha by Nisria took the Nairobi Fashion Week runway by storm with a collection that blends culture and modern sophistication effortlessly. Every look was a masterpiece.
- Kipepeo: A brand Inspired by Kenya’s landscapes, from the vast golden savannah to the deep blues of the Indian Ocean and are handmade in Kenya
- SOKOLATA: A high-end, eco-responsible brand celebrating African heritage which showcased “Pole Pole Capsule”, crafted with handwoven cotton from Kenya, Burkina Faso, Benin, and upcycled organic cotton from Senegal, celebrating African craftsmanship, diversity, and effortless elegance.
- Native 1018: Native 1018 puts Africa on the map and demonstrates that there are many talented and creative designers across the continent. Their designs perfectly blend traditional and modern influences, always pushing the boundaries to create something fresh and exciting. Committed to sustainability, Native1018 uses upcycled fabrics, ensuring that quality and innovation go hand in hand. Native1018 is changing the history of fashion design in Africa and beyond.
