World Tourism Day is here again, and Kenya is celebrating in style. This year, Kenyan citizens will enjoy free entry to both Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS)-managed national parks, reserves, sanctuaries, and all National Museums of Kenya museums, sites, and monuments. It’s a golden opportunity to reconnect with our cultural and natural heritage. Please note that this special offer is exclusively for Kenyan citizens.
Free Entry to Parks, Reserves, and Sanctuaries
For the second consecutive year, the Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, has announced free entry for all Kenyan citizens into KWS-managed national parks, reserves, and sanctuaries on Saturday, 27th September 2025.
This initiative is part of the World Tourism Week celebrations, aligning with this year’s theme: “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.” The theme reminds us of the power of tourism to foster conservation, empower communities, and fuel Kenya’s economy.
From the savannahs of Amboseli to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, the shores of Lake Turkana to the marine treasures of Watamu, the adventure is yours to choose. This is the perfect opportunity to explore Kenya’s natural beauty, enjoy breathtaking scenery, and support ongoing conservation efforts. As the message goes, Tunza Mali Yako.

In addition to free park access, the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) is offering free entry to all museums, historical sites, and monuments across the country on Saturday, 27th and Sunday, 28th September 2025.
